"Where We Are" is probably the longest I've ever worked on a song, I worked on it on and off for the past 7-ish months (even before Inure)
It has been the most fun i've ever had working on a song, just imagining myself as some super edgy teen jamming out to this was so so fun and I love it.
The title "Where We Are" is a bit of a meaning talking about where we are physically and mentally, over the past few months i've really started to appreciate the area i have around me and the nature and whatnot.
I've also had a lot of breakthroughs mentally, and have been feeling the best I have in a long time. This song is about how I work on music and how long it takes me to create new ideas, and that's ok.
I also think this song validates my use of sampling and such, I've always felt guilty sampling other songs, but I think this track does the samples justice in a great way.
